Gold Humanism Inductees Embody Cura Personalis by Embracing Humanism in Health Care
The Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) added more than 30 School of Medicine students to its rolls at its annual fall induction ceremony. The event, held October 25 in Harvey Amphitheater, recognized fourth-year medical students who excel in providing compassionate care and embody cura personalis, care of the whole person.

School of Nursing Graduate Will Practice Cura Personalis as a Newly Commissioned Naval Officer
Sarah Bryant (N’23) knew at a young age that she wanted to be both a nurse and naval officer. Georgetown gave her the opportunity to pursue both passions while putting into practice the Jesuit value of cura personalis, care of the whole person. Bryant was commissioned May 22 as an ensign in the United States Navy during a ceremony at the Jefferson Memorial.

Less than two days before officially becoming physicians, members of the School of Medicine Class of 2023 gathered at the annual Warwick Evans Senior Awards Ceremony to celebrate their classmates’ achievements. Parents, spouses, children, significant others and friends assembled in one of Georgetown’s most storied places, Gaston Hall, for the May 19 parade of awards.
