How long have you worked at Georgetown?
One year and four months
What led you to your position here at GUMC?
I was looking for a permanent position.
In your role, how do you interact with the GUMC community?
I have the opportunity to interact with the GUMC community in many ways, from scheduling meetings on behalf of Dean Waite, reserving conference space, solving issues and collaborating with other schools on projects.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love serving others, being a resource and finding solutions to issues.
What did you learn about yourself as a professional during the pandemic?
I learned how much I miss interaction with others.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love spending time with family and friends to create memories.
What is your greatest achievement (personal or professional)?
My greatest achievement is finding resolutions for problems that will enhance the effectiveness of processes overall. I have had the pleasure of working to create and advise on communication systems to enhance the work experience within the School of Nursing.
What is the best lesson you have learned from working at GUMC?
The best lesson I’ve learned at GUMC is to be patient and continue to build relationships with others across schools and campus for optimal success.
