As educators, we inspire students to find their purpose, serving as “people for others” and using their knowledge to create a positive impact. Building upon two centuries of academic excellence, our three schools — the Berkley School of Nursing, School of Health and School of Medicine — develop future leaders in clinical care, biomedical research, global health, health policy, business and more.
Research is a throughline across the Georgetown University Medical Center. From the life-saving cancer research at Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center to the insights into brain development and plasticity within the Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience, we are continuously adding to our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
Care for the community is a key driver of the work at Georgetown University Medical Center. We are dedicated to serving the common good within the District of Columbia and the many populations that comprise it.
