At New Awards Ceremony, IPN Students Celebrate Contributions to Community and Education
Doctoral students in the Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience (IPN) spend years together in classes, lab rotations and thesis research. This year, student leaders came up with a new way to celebrate their academic community, introducing an annual awards program to recognize “peers and faculty who embody the values of the IPN, Georgetown, and the Jesuit tradition.”

Lombardi Women Celebrate Advances in the Fight Against Breast Cancer
At the 19th annual Lombardi Women event, more than 460 attendees gathered to celebrate the doctors, nurses, researchers, patients, survivors and supporters engaged in the fight against breast cancer and show their support for Georgetown University’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in Washington, D.C.

Georgetown Unveils Interdisciplinary Building in Downtown D.C.; Houses Several GUMC Grad Programs
Georgetown celebrated the opening of its new educational hub at 111 Massachusetts Ave. in downtown Washington, D.C., on the university’s Capitol Campus. The new building is home to the School of Health’s graduate degree programs and the Berkley School of Nursing’s PhD in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs.
