(April 26, 2019) — Laura Anderko, PhD, RN, holds the Robert and Kathleen Scanlon Chair in Values Based Health Care at Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies. She is a professor and director of the Mid-Atlantic Center for Children’s Health and the Environment (MACCHE) and a scholar in the fields of epidemiology, public health and environmental health.
In this edition of Research in a Minute, Anderko discusses her work with MACCHE, how closely health is connected with the environment, particularly children’s health, and how health care professionals can help protect Earth’s inhabitants through advocacy efforts.
