- Georgetown University is known for its unmatched level of professionalism and growth opportunities.
- In your role, how do you interact with the GUMC community?
- I work one-on-one with students of the School of Nursing. I know that these students are the future leaders of this country’s medical field, which makes this job worthwhile.
- What do you enjoy most about your job?
- I love that I have a great degree of control within my position. I have been working hard to maintain that level of trust with my boss and other colleagues. I feel like this has allowed to create my own lane and engage with all aspects of my position.
- What is a skill you have that might surprise people?
- I love to garden. I am a HUGE plant person. Lucky bamboo is my personal favorite indoor plant and bell peppers are my favorite outdoor plant, especially in the summer.
- What did you learn about yourself as a professional during the pandemic?
- I learned the real importance of work-life balance. Since our homes have become the center of our lives, it was important for me to enjoy my personal time and space for myself.
- What do you like to do in your free time?
- I love to watch thriller movies, shop and read.
- What is the best lesson you have learned from working at GUMC?
- I learned to always have courage. In my new role, I was hesitant in suggesting ideas and thoughts I had. Now that I am becoming more comfortable in my position and with my colleagues, they have made it a safe place to be open to all ideas and to truly complete projects with a strong collaborative effort.
