Media Advisory: Capital Breast Care Center Gift of Life Breakfast

WASHINGTON (Oct. 3, 2014) – Capital Breast Care Center (CBCC), a community-based program of Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, presents its 7th Annual Gift of Life Breakfast. At this year’s event, CBCC is celebrating its 10-year anniversary and service to more than 10,000 patients.
CBCC is a program of Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities. CBCC provides culturally sensitive breast cancer screening services and health and wellness education guided by evidence-based practices to all women in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, regardless of their ability to pay.

- Jennifer Griffin, a national security correspondent for FOX News Channel and breast cancer survivor,
- Yvette Alexander, D.C. Councilmember for Ward 7 and chair of the Council’s Committee on Health, and
- Andrea Roane, WUSA-9 morning news anchor and CBCC Community Advisory Board member, who will serve as mistress of ceremonies.
