October 27, 2016–Nearly 60 Georgetown medical students rose early on a recent Saturday morning to take time out from studying to give back to the D.C. community. The annual Georgetown University School of Medicine Day of Service was held on October 20. Starting at 8 a.m., students assembled in Caduceus student lounge to make sandwiches for Martha’s Table (new window). They then dispersed to four different sites: Rock Creek Park Conservancy (new window), Sisters of Mercy (new window), Arlington Food Assistance Center (new window) and SPIRIT Open Equestrian (new window)to lend some helping hands.
