The Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) is the Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC) office for:
- Review and submission of applications to research sponsors
- Receipt of sponsored research awards
- Negotiation and execution of sponsored research agreements
- Sponsored research account setup, maintenance and closeout

Doreen Robinson, Ph.D., CRA, is the Director of Research Development Services (RDS) and the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) and has overall responsibility for sponsored research activities, outreach and coordination at the Georgetown University Medical Center.

Trudy Bright plays an integral role in operations management and coordination including proposal submission, establishment of sponsored research spending accounts, negotiation of sponsored research agreements and coordination with GUMC administrative offices, departments and outside institutions.

Manuel Corday is a primary contact for GMS training and queries related to sponsored research proposal and award initiation and management. He also serves as the Senior Grants & Contracts Specialist for the School of Nursing & Health Sciences (SNHS), Lung Biology Laboratory, Protein Information Resource (PIR) and the Georgetown Center for Innovation. Mr. Corday is also currently overseeing award management for the following departments: Microbiology, Neurosciences, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Physiology, Psychiatry, Radiology, Radiation and Pharmacology.

John Bustillos, the OSR Proposal Manager, works closely with RDS and has primary responsibility for review and approval of GUMC internal proposals submitted by RDS through GU PASS (10 days prior to submission deadline) and sponsor application packages, as well as electronic submission of finalized applications to sponsors (5 days prior to submission deadline).

Clairice Lloyd, CRA, is responsible for Medical Center program project proposals and awards, including the Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG), Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS), Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, and Ovarian (PLCO) Cancer Screening, and the Women’s Interagency HIV Study (WIHS), as well as the Neurology Basic Science Department. Admin, Ob-Gyn (includes IRH), Orthopedics, Surgery (Cardio, General, Plastic & Reconstructive, Transplant), Dean for Research, Department of Comparative Medicine, Office of Regulatory Affairs and Financial Aid (Medical School). Once reviewed and approved, the submission is passed to Kyle or prosper for sub-award negotiation and sub-award setup in GMS.
