The Office of Planning and Enterprise Development at GUMC, created in June 2007 by Executive Vice President for Health Sciences Howard Federoff, focuses on entrepreneurial partnerships to increase the flow of extramural funding to GUMC. Traditional sources of support such as tuition, endowment income, and gifts and grants (public and private) continue to be the foundation of revenue generation. However, without innovative strategies to enhance and develop new streams of support, GUMC, much like many of its peers, will struggle to maintain its position.
Our office is a critical platform for developing this innovative entrepreneurial approach. The Office of Planning and Enterprise Development works to catalyze key teams of faculty, administration and GUMC/University leadership to explore new collaborations and funding opportunities that will help fuel our growth.
Our future success depends on our ability to create solutions together.
