CBS Evening News Talks with Subramaniam about the Rising Costs of Cancer Treatment

Deepa Subramaniam, professor of hematology and oncology, was recently featured in a segment on the CBS Evening News regarding skyrocketing costs associated with cancer treatment. The segment discussed the plight of the underinsured throughout the country who have become capped out at particular thresholds and are forced to pay in full for treatment beyond their cap. “You worry that somehow by choosing a treatment that is less expensive, that we are compromising the quality of care,” Subramaniam explained.
