Otolaryngology Establishes Roy B. Sessions Lectureship

May 26, 2009

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is pleased to announce the establishment of the Roy B. Sessions Lectureship, through the help of grateful patients and Georgetown alumni and supporters. This lectureship will highlight topics in head and neck cancer thyroid/parathyroid surgery and/or surgical education – three areas in which Dr. Sessions created a lasting legacy both at Georgetown and nationally.

Current and former Georgetown students, residents and faculty, as well as friends of Dr. Sessions and the department, are invited to attend the inaugural Roy B. Sessions Lecture on June 5 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the Research Building Auditorium. The lecture this year will be given by Randal S. Weber, MD, FACS, chair of the Department of Head and Neck Surgery, professor of Surgery and Hubert L. and Olive Stringer Distinguished Professor in Cancer Research at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
