Subramanian Speaks Out About Woman Having Octuplets

Siva Subramanian, professor and chief of pediatrics, spoke with ABC News regarding the case of a woman in California who underwent fertility treatment in order to have octuplets. Subramanian strongly slated what he saw as reckless behavior.

"The physician was irresponsible or the woman ignored all advice, and both are unacceptable," Subramanian told ABC News. "We need to curb the idea that this is some kind of heroic or miraculous thing by the press."
