Liu Reacts to New Breast Cancer Research

HealthDay spoke to Minetta Liu, assistant professor of oncology, about a new study where scientists successfully made breast tumor cells, which had previously been resistant, sensitive to the cancer drug tamoxifen. Liu discussed the impact this research could have. This story was carried by U.S. News & World Report – online, Forbes – online, and The Daily Sentinel, among other news outlets.

"[Research] groups have been looking to restore positivity, to open the door to treatment with tamoxifen and aromatase inhibitors," Liu told HealthDay. "The findings are very exciting."
