The Associated Press Taps Marshall for Stories on Ginsburg Surgery

The Associated Press news agency spoke with John Marshall, associate professor of medicine, about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s recent surgery for pancreatic cancer. Only a small percentage of patients who suffer from pancreatic cancer are eligible for treatment through surgery.

"We want to be in that early [stage] group so we can have the surgery and have a potential chance at cure, but it is a big operation and a disease that does tend to spread even very early," Marshall told AP.
