GUWellness Announces Fall Fitness Challenge and Heart Walk

GUWellness has announced two upcoming events to encourage faculty and staff to feel healthy and stay in shape. The Fall Fitness Challenge, beginning on October 1, focuses on incorporating exercise and physical activity into a daily routine. Faculty and staff may enter as individuals or teams to track time spent exercising to enter to win weekly prizes. Another event, “Start! Greater Washington Heart Walk,” is the American Heart Association's biggest event of the year.  Money raised promotes heart health education and helps battle heart disease.  Georgetown University is supporting this year's Heart Walk by recruiting walkers for event on the National Mall on Saturday, November 1.  To learn more about the Heart Walk, click here.

Register for both the Fall Fitness Challenge and the Heart Walk and receive a free pedometer from the American Heart Association.
