New Semester of Mini-Medical School Announced

GUMC recently announced the return of the annual Mini-Medical School. The mini-medical school program follows the traditional disciplines that medical students encounter during their training, offering innovative and timely presentations on a variety of topics related to the biomedical sciences and  health. Some of the topics that will be explored include: DNA, what it is and why it helps to know; gender differences in health, aging, and diease; breast cancer; being a patient; understanding stroke; systems biology; and bioethics. Faculty from GUMC will be teaching these sessions, which begin on Tuesday, September 16, 2008.
