Pre-Award
Grants Administration | Pre-Award | Post-Award | FAQ
The Pre-award Office is responsible for reviewing all research applications that Investigators submit to government and private funding agencies. The Pre-award Office reviews solicitations and funding announcements to ensure that proposals comply with the guidelines of the Sponsor and the University. This office also reviews proposal budgets to ensure that award costs are calculated correctly. Once a proposal has been reviewed and approved by the Pre-award Office, it is forwarded to the Director of the Office of Sponsored Research for signature. Once a proposal has been signed off on by the Director, it can then be submitted to the funding agency. Paper application should be submitted directly by the Investigator to the funding agency. Electronic applications must be submitted by the Office of Sponsored Research.
