The Office of Enterprise Development at GUMC, created in June 2007 by EVP Howard Federoff, focuses on entrepreneurial partnerships to increase the flow of extramural funding to GUMC. Traditional sources of support such as tuition, endowment income, and gifts and grants (public and private) continue to be the foundation of revenue generation. However, without innovative strategies to enhance and develop new streams of support, GUMC, much like many of its peers, will struggle to maintain its position.

This office is a critical platform for developing this innovative entrepreneurial approach. The Office of Enterprise Development works to catalyze key teams of faculty, administration and GUMC/University leadership to explore new collaborations and funding opportunities that will help fuel our growth.
