The Department of Radiology at Georgetown University Hospital has two abdominal fellowship openings for July 2008. Georgetown is a 600 bed-licensed hospital, and the department performs 140,000 exams per year. The fellowship entails 6 months of body MRI, 3 months of body CT, and 3 months of ultrasound/ultrasound guided procedures. Fellows also have the option of a 1 month PET/CT elective. The fellowship provides extensive experience in cross-sectional imaging and procedures, and there are opportunities for research and use of a 3T MRI scanner. There are also plans to develop a cardiovascular service within the department.
