Adam K. Myers, Ph.D.

Professor

Dr Myers is Professor of Physiology & Biophysics and Associate Dean of Biomedical Graduate Education at the Medical Center. He was Director of both the Special Master’s Program, and the Complementary & Alternative Medicine (MS in Physiology) Program prior to becoming Dean in 2006. Dr. Myers has won numerous teaching awards from the students of Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he teaches extensively in several medical and graduate courses on various topics related to human physiology. His primary area of research has been in vascular and platelet biology; he also has extensive experience in educational program development and administration. He is author of the textbook Crash Course: Respiratory System, as well as many scientific articles and book chapters.
