Scholarly Interests:

As a biochemist, cell biologist and reproductive physiologist, my research centers on the biochemistry of steroid hormones, stress regulation, molecular aspects of reproductive endocrinology, and women?s health issues. I am also co-investigator and a founding member of the Complementary, Alternative and Integrative Medicine Initiative at Georgetown University School of Medicine. My efforts are directed at bridging the gap between conventional science and alternative methodologies in order to help physicians of tomorrow understand and better integrate complementary treatment modalities. My commitment to educating research scientists and healthcare providers, as well as the general public make me an advocate for innovative improvement in science and health care.

Personal Background and Interests:

Born and raised in Algeria, my formative years were spent in France and the United States, exposing me to a wide range of scientific and educational philosophies.
