Robert Clarke, PhD, D.Sc., is the interim director of the BGRO and Associate Vice President of GUMC. Dr. Clarke joined GUMC in 1988 from the National Cancer Institute. Until 2006, he directed Lombardi's Animal Shared Resource program.

Dr. Clarke is an internationally recognized leader in translational breast cancer research, and serves as Professor of Oncology, Physiology and Biophysics, Co-Director of Lombardi's Breast Cancer Program, and Co-Chair of the Division of Molecular Endocrinology, Nutrition and Obesity in the Department of Oncology at GUMC.
