GUMC Calendar Submissions
The GUMC Calendar of Events is a resource which members of the GUMC community can consult to discover what upcoming events of interest are taking place at the medical center. If you would like to have an upcoming event listed in the GUMC Calendar of Events, here’s what to do:
- Submit your event proposal to the administrator of your department’s calendar. The administrator can then follow the steps described in the next section to submit the event for inclusion in the GUMC Calendar of Events.
- If your department does not have a calendar, you may also submit an event to the GUMC Calendar by using the form located at the following webpage: https://www18.georgetown.edu/explore/administration/events/index.cfm?Action=Submit&CalendarID=85.
The GUMC Calendar of Events will include all official GUMC Calendars in an automatic feed – but please let us know that your calendar exists. If you are the administrator of a GUMC related calendar, please follow these instructions:
- To request an event for inclusion on the GUMC Calendar, create the event for your department’s calendar as you normally would. One of the editable fields is entitled “Inclusion.” Using the drop-down menu in this field, select the calendar entitled “Georgetown University Medical Center.” Once you have selected this calendar, please click the “Request” button. Your event request will then be forwarded to the administrator of the GUMC Calendar for approval.
- In order to have your department’s calendar displayed as a part of the GUMC Calendar of Events, contact email@example.com and your calendar will be considered for inclusion in the GUMC Calendar. Once your calendar has been approved for inclusion in the GUMC Calendar, simply submit add events to your calendar as you normally would and they will automatically included in the GUMC Calendar.
