How to Partner with GUMC

There are a variety of opportunities to partner with GUMC and to connect with its scientists and scholarly community.

Georgetown's Office of Technology Commercialization manages Georgetown invention disclosures, patenting and licensing activities, oversight of material transfer agreements and confidentiality agreements, and engagement of Georgetown University in the founding and growth of local businesses.

GUMC's Office of Planning and Enterprise Development created in June 2007 by Executive Vice President for Health Sciences Howard Federoff, focuses on entrepreneurial partnerships to increase the flow of extramural funding to GUMC. Traditional sources of support such as tuition, endowment income, and gifts and grants (public and private) continue to be the foundation of revenue generation. However, without innovative strategies to enhance and develop new streams of support, GUMC, much like many of its peers, will struggle to maintain its position.
